As a provider of large scale ductile iron castings, at Glidewell our reputation is
built on providing high quality and consistency. The bearing housings, caps, and
pump components shown here require this type of precision, which is why
customers from various industries turn to us for their manufacture.
These components are typically cast in ductile iron; however, they can also be
manufactured in gray iron. Molds are created to the customer’s specifications and
2D CAD drawings on our floor molding system, and on our semi-automated
molding line. After casting, components are machined in-house to tolerances of
±.001”.
Each part is fully inspected, utilizing a wide range of testing and inspection techniques. Our quality program includes advanced
testing procedures which allow us to maintain compliance with all applicable industry standards, as well as our own stringent
quality standards.
